OAK RUN HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

NEIGHBORHOOD (NBHD) REPRESENTATIVES (REP) MEETING

FEBRUARY 6 , 2012 – ISLAND CLUB

I Meeting Call to Order

A. At 0900 Steve Routte called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

B. Roll Call was conducted by Linda Skowronski. Directors Goyins and Sheetz were absent. Of the NBHD Reps, 37 were present with 10 absent.

II Comments from NBHD REPS

A. NBHD #5, Gerry Emmons discussed a letter received by a resident regarding a lamp post light being out. While this could have been reported by a neighbor or Security, it appears the letter may have been misaddressed and Ali will have a letter sent addressing the issue.

B. NBHD #6;

1. Marci Hutto asked if there was an update on teenagers living in the neighborhood. Appears they are boarding a school bus by Sun Trust Bank.

2. Dee Porter asked about changing colors on garage doors, etc. Ali said to check with Tangi in Customer Services who will have a list of approved colors, etc.

C. NBHD #12, Terry Wright, on behalf of a resident, asked that DECCA look into putting a park bench in front of Royal Oaks so that patrons can have a place to rest while waiting for others in their party to arrive, etc. He also asked about an auction sign on 200 near the $1999 golf membership sign – is DECCA auctioning off the acreage that was to be used for assisted living; Ali answered no that is not the case.

D. NBHD #16 (Parkview), Russ Acquard asked that the dead pine tree at the “S” curve be addressed.

E. NBHD #18 ( Golfview),Edwina Barrett asking for an update on the treadmill situation at Palm Grove Fitness.

F. NBHD #21 (Bay Tree Green), Kay Schnabel raised a comment from a resident regarding the structure of the Showcase of Stars in that it was thought the performers had to be Oak Run Residents. Some discussion followed and while it would be nice to have all performers from Oak Run, there are not that many who volunteer so any one who wishes and auditions may perform. It is no different than clubs, etc., bringing in outside entertainment.

G. NBHD #22 (Crescent Oaks):

1. Joann Veale asked about receiving a new neighbor package for a new resident. She should have the package in about a month. She also mentioned trucks are still coming into Oak Run without signage.

2. Rosemarie Peluso reported an incident at the Orchid Club pool wherein a woman was asked by a guard for her tag. She did not have one, would not provide her name or other information and stated that her husband was a paying golfer. Ali asked for more information as the guard should have asked the woman to leave. The only privilege provided to non-resident golfer is that of eating at Royal Oaks.

H. NBHD #24 (Fountains) Molly Burke asked about legalities of tree ownership/maintenance. There should be a metal disk in the street noting the property line. If not, the owners may have to have the property surveyed. As to tree maintenance, limbs, etc, that hang over on to another person’s property may be trimmed up to where the tree belongs to the other person.

I. NBHD #25 (Eagles Point):

1, Cindy Kocher received comments that the speakers at the ORHA General Meetings seem to take too long and also suggested that there not be speakers every meeting. Also, the DECCA houses have post lights that are not working.

2. Joyce Moniuk noted that the entrance lights to Eagles Point (by the maintenance gate) and shining down into the landscaping instead of up at the neighborhood sign. Also, if your car tag is not being read, please check with Tangi as it is possible it’s been inadvertently removed from the system.

III Comments from Directors

A. Jim Waddell mentioned the white fencing along the DRAs in Eagles point need pressure cleaning and that some lights along the boulevard need replacing.

B. Ali Inman noted that Roy Wallace has openings for 3 guards so if anyone is interested, please contact Roy.

C. Jim Kent discussed the continuing speeding issue in Oak Run.

A presentation was made by Paul from Sam’s Club and he left some printed information with the Board.

Meeting adjourned 10:15.

Minutes Respectfully Submitted,

Linda Skowronski
