I
am 67 years young, still working
in retail about twenty hours a
week. My career started while I
was in high school. I met my wife
forty-seven years ago while
working at J.C.Penney. After a
year of marriage, I joined the Air
Force which took us many places
including south FL (we always
hoped to return) and overseas. I
received an honorable discharge
after four years.
Over
the years, I took college courses,
and worked many long hours. I have
worked with various retail stores in
management positions as: personnel,
security, manager, district manager.
I closed stores and opened stores as
needed. I trained many new managers
for other stores. I have always
tried to better myself and my
company. I am an honest, loyal, hard
worker always striving for the best
I can do.
My wife
and I were born and raised in
Connersville, IN. We have two grown
children, Darren (retired from Navy)
and his wife, Tracey, who have given
us three wonderful grandsons. We are
blessed. Our daughter, Melissa,
works for Hershey Chocolate in PA.
She has always been such a sweet
person, but more so now with all the
chocolate. Last month we added a
rescue dog to our family, she has
been a great way to meet all our
wonderful neighbors in Neighborhood
Eleven. We have lived happily in Oak
Run for a year. We plan to spend the
rest of our lives here. I hope I am
able to make a difference with your
help. |
